Bocagrande Beach

Cartagena’s most famous urban beach sits in front of the glitzy neighborhood of Bocagrande (the famous peninsula lined with skyscrapers and upmarket hotels).

The most known beach of Cartagena de Indias is Bocagrande that is situated on the south peninsula of the historic center. The less busy month concerning the Caribbean sea are from march to November and the busiest are from December to February because of the marine agitations. However, the temperature is excellent during the agitation months.

The beach has golden sand and the hotels are abundant to lodge correctly according to your tastes. The quarter of Bocagrande is filled of restaurants and bars with a really busy avenue, whether San Martin. At the end of Bocagrande is found El Laguito which starts with the famous Caribe Hotel and ends the earth point to the bay which is named Castillogrande with fort Santa Cruz at the end, which is today worthless ruin. On the side of the bay, people can use a path that longs the bay and is often used to take walks.

The beach is popular with Colombia’s glamour set and is a nice strip of white sand, conveniently located just minutes from Cartagena’s best neighborhoods and hotels.
